English 9B builds upon student competencies, with focus on historical perspectives on literature. In this course students will study two great pieces of literature: Shakespeare¦s unforgettable tragedy Romeo and Juliet and Harper Lee¦s timeless classic To Kill a Mockingbird. Students will come to see how these pieces reflect upon the times in which they were written, as well as how they transcend their historical context and touch each generation in a personal way. Vocabulary and grammar lessons will build upon study in English 9A. |
