Hello! My name is Ms. Pecunia, and I’ve spent the last ten years working with high school students to help them grow, learn, and explore the exciting world of science and math.

In addition to working at Richard McKenna online, I teach at Middleton Academy, where I focus on helping students succeed in their studies, especially those who need a little extra support. I also play a big part in shaping and improving our STEM program, designing lessons that are fun, engaging, and help students connect with real-world science and technology.

Before joining Middleton Academy, I worked as a STEM instructor and instructional coach at Novitas Boarding School. In that role, I worked with teachers to create lessons that get students excited about learning. I also mentored students, helping them gain real-world experience through internships and projects.

I’ve had the opportunity to teach college students too, as an adjunct math instructor at the College of Western Idaho. I love working with students of all ages and helping them feel more confident in their math and science skills.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the chance to work on some amazing projects. I helped design a student-led garden and greenhouse, where students learned about plants, bees, and aquaponics. I also taught students about robotics, 3D printing, and engineering, always looking for new, hands-on ways to make STEM come alive.

Beyond teaching, I’ve also taken on leadership roles in schools. I’ve managed summer programs, led professional development for teachers, and built strong connections with students, families, and the community. I truly believe that when students, teachers, and families work together, amazing things happen.

I hold a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and continue to learn new ways to support student success. Outside of school, I enjoy gardening, spending time outdoors, and always looking for ways to grow and learn. I’m excited to share my love for STEM with all of you!
