Course Purpose

    Continues the study of world literature from English 12A. Engages students in the evaluation and comparison of notable non-fiction works such as The Federalist Papers and Machiavelli's The Prince and the role of those works in shaping governments and societies. Students will conduct research and communicate their learning through writing, presentations, and informational graphics. Focuses on the study of Orwell's 1984 and Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew.
