Course Purpose

    Provides opportunities for students to learn and practice important decision making skills and information needed to promote their own good health. Focuses on personal responsibility and skills that lead to wise life-style choices, the key to living a long and happy life. Designed to increase knowledge over the five main areas of health: physical health, mental health, emotional health, social health, and spiritual health. Engages students in several types of learning activities including reading and writing skills, problem solving, individualized research, cooperative learning, and lab projects.
