Geometry A is an online course designed for students who have successfully completed Algebra 1. Geometry students will be expected to master geometry concepts in Khan Academy, as well as complete five projects. The projects will be compiled and published on your personal website for a final grade. The projects are designed to enhance the geometry concepts mastered in Khan Academy and to bridge the gap between abstract geometrical concepts and real-world applications. Students must complete both the concepts (in Khan Academy) and projects in order to earn a mathematics credit.
The purpose of the Geometry A course is to help guide the students through the following geometry concepts: points, lines, planes, angles, triangles and right triangles. Student will gain an understanding of the problem solving process and how to apply geometry to the real-world, through projects assigned weekly. |
