Course Purpose

    Engages in the study of allocating and utilizing scarce resources; factors of production; opportunity cost; supply and demand and their respective determinants; and surplus, shortage, and market clearing price. Presents students with the fundamental literacy skills for making personal financial decisions and understanding how choices impact their personal financial lives. Provides the opportunity to create a scenario to explain the interrelation among these concepts. Provides tools to analyze the stock market by researching companies, practicing making trades, and interpreting stock portfolio results.
