Course Purpose

    Studies the art of rhetoric and reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Presents students with the opportunity to read a variety of short stories to improve their reading comprehension skills and develop an appreciation for reading. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the art of persuasive speaking, as well as how to conduct research through the composition of an I-Search paper using MLA format. Grammar and vocabulary instruction will be part of each week's requirements.
